Meet Us

Glenn and I were married in 1995 near my hometown of Calliope. Our wedding album is included, but will take around a minute to download. The photos were taken by Rampton Studios of Gladstone. The night seemed to be enjoyed by all; with seafood smorgasboard, good music, and good company. My parents Rob and Sandie still live on their property in Calliope. Dad breeds thoroughbreds and Mum has an active interest in Geneology. Glenn is also country-grown and hails from Kingaroy where his parents also still live. His father owns Kingaroy Springworks, an engineering workshop, which gets a special mention in stories of the evolution of "Harry's Buoy", Glenn's Boat.

In 2001 we built our new home together on 8 acres in Wongawallen. "Where?" I hear you ask- Harrison Hill is located in the Gold Coast hinterland just off the main road to Mt Tamborine, a national park and popular tourist village. We are constructing a page of the evolution of Harrison Hill as we build and landscape. But to us home also means family, friends and entertaining, so we've included pages of great get-togethers both at our last home in Oxenford and our new home at Wongawallan. Also take a peek at our friends' weddings. Check out two of our passions, our cars and our bikes. Then get to know us better through our top 20 page of music, movies and books.

Our Hobbies
Glenn and I enjoy somewhat different recreational persuits, although when together we both enjoy BBQs with friends and anything with our dogs, be it obedience training or running on the beach.
I tend to relax with my animals. As a junior, I was an avid competitor in dressage, showjumping, eventing and hacking. When 14 years of age I was representing my state at National meets in eventing through the Queensland Pony Club Association. Unfortunately I gave up competing while a student at Uni (too broke!), but soon started again once gainfully employed. If interested look for my equine page, but note it is a photoessay and will take about one minute to completely download. Now, my competitive spirit is shared with shelties, where we instruct at a local all-breeds agility club, and compete in obedience and agility trials. This is a relatively new sport for me, having only been training and competing since 1999.
Glenn is my hunter-gatherer. He enjoys fishing the waters off Queensland for the elusive Coral Trout. During April and May I rarely catch sight of him as this is the whiting season, which means good fishing in Hervey Bay. It is also the roaring season, which introduces Glenn's other sport, (with terribly negative conatations in society), hunting. (Yes, this sheltie owner and lover is also a law-abiding, licensed and responsible gun owner.) As such, it is a rare occassion when my freezer is not full of either venison or whiting, or both (the reef fish are enjoyed too much for them to stay long in the freezer).
The Travel Album
Between us, we also manage to do quite a bit of travelling. Although not always together. Glenn actually spent 1997 and 1998 in Amsterdam working at Vrjie Universitite, this allowed for some exploration of Europe. In 1999 he spent three months on the West Coast of America, working again, and so hopefully will see a little of that continent. I have visited the States before, although only fleetingly for work conferences, and am keen to see more.
